Re: Macro

Wow Lisa they are so good. They are all very very good but the 1st is the stand out image. So wish I’d taken that. Number 3 is a cracker too can’t beat a butterfly (Tortoiseshell) to lift a flower pick. Brilliant.

Re: Just a selection

Hi Robert, No I did it on my iPad and used the normal features such as brightness contrast shadows highlights saturation and then applied sharpening at the end. You could go further and open it in affinity or PS and mask the flower and apply a Gaussian blur filter to slightly blur the background a l...

Re: Just a selection

Nice set of pics Robert, Not sure of the 1st pic, it’s not doing anything for me. Sorry. Really like the second pic, love the angle and the fact you have isolated the tiles giving the middle tiles the sharpness and blurring out the top and bottom thirds. Well done. Love the Woody shot, the light is ...

Hi Phil, thanks for the feedback and yes will take on board some of your comments and may revisit some of the images for a crop etc. The tree you like is a species of Metasequoia there is quite a few of them at Marks Hall, they are my favourite tree there. Many thanks 🙏 Trev

Re: Just a selection

here are few more of a recent visit to Marks Hall after heavy rain. I really like visiting the outdoors after rain, it boosts the colours and changes the dynamics of the images, a couple were shot with HDR in mind. Any critique welcomed.

Re: Sunset photography trip to Arlesford Church Ruins and Arlesford Creek

Hi all, sorry but I won't be joining you on this trip. Im not convinced about the hurry through of less social distancing at this stage. I have been active with my camera purely to keep the interest and passion going and have set some themes for myself to accomplish with mixed results. Have a great ...

Re: May Meeting

Here are my 3images, two can be classed as engineering and abstract. The one of the bridge is I think the underside of Waterloo bridge. I loved the abstract pattern of it as well as the engineering aspect of it. Similarly the bicycles in Amsterdam is engineering but also has an abstract quality to i...
