Re: October Meeting
Hi Lisa, I have to say, you certainly have been busy over the time! Unfortunately I don't have any Zoom images to be shown but I'm really looking forward to being able to upload images to my gallery and I if we are able to create our own galleries, that would be so good. Looking forward to anything ...

Re: Dark Gothic inspired (Halloween) images
Hi Jim, Thank you very much. Love your image of the Druids temple. It's a great high angle shot that really shows the size and layout of the ruins. The contrast is just right, moody with an atmosphere of past rituals and ceremonies. I especially like the vignetting around the edge of the image - add...

Re: Sunshine and showers, rainbows and howitzers
Thanks again, Trevor. I was quite pleased with how it turned out. Looking again at your 'tweaked' image of Lisa's Lake District cottage I think it would also make a superb picture for a large jigsaw puzzle. It has that depth of colour and image sharpness that would really lend itself to that. Great ...

Re: Sunshine and showers, rainbows and howitzers
Hi All - Great image, Trevor and Lisa. The 'tweaking' looks sensational and colourful. I hope you don't mind my '£0.02' worth regarding this. I guess the wider issue is how we present our images to the world. Do we recreate what the eye sees or what the imagination 'sees'? I don't think there is a '...

Re: Sunshine and showers, rainbows and howitzers
Hi Jim, Great images from your trip to the Lake District. They are all very colourful and nicely composed. The shot of the rainbow over 'The Howitzer' was nicely timed and framed. I especially like the images 'Cathedral cavern' and the reflection of the mountains in the lake waters 'Pleased with thi...

Hi Lisa,
As much as I regret it I will have to cancel the visit to Bures Dragon for family reasons. Please let Ian know and hopefully he will be able to rejoin the group. Sorry for this change and I'm sure everybody will come away with lots of great images.

Hi Phil,
Wow - what incredible images. I expressly love the vaulting on the ceilings and the continuation down the sides of the walls. Colours and sharpness are superb.
Have a great time in France - Bon Voyage.

Hi Lisa,
Please count me in also - either day would be good. I hadn't been aware of the BD until now so it will be another new photographic experience. What times of the day were you thinking of?

Hi Ian and everybody, Very sorry I haven't been active for a while and really sorry I missed the astrophotography session. There have been situations that unfortunately have taken most if not all of my time - I'm hoping for easier times in the future. I hope everybody and your respective families ar...

Re: The Honywood Oak
Hi Phil, Hope you are well. I was fascinated by your article about the Honywood Oak at Marks Hall Arboretum so I took myself off yesterday (08/08) to have a look. Was quite magnificent and to think it is so very old is incredible. The Screaming Oak is also very incredible. I understand it hosts a se...

Re: Just a selection
Hi Robert, I like your images - some great angled shots there. It's always good to find new perspectives and use of DOF. The pidgeon image looks good on top of the stone structure. The flower looks good but as was suggested previously a little more brightness and colour saturation could make it beco...

Re: Just a selection
Hi Phil, Thank you for your very kind words - much appreciated. I really enjoyed Trevor's images - especially the ones with the rain drops. Like you have said, they look like diamonds on the branches and are very sharp. The other images are also very good - love the different textures and materials.

Hi Michele
Just read about your efforts to help in the Covid-19 fight. Well done for the mask making enterprise and for the amount of money you have helped to raise for charity. Fantastic effort!

Hi Mark, Yes indeed it was great to get out with others to get some good pictures. Nice seeing the group again since the monthly meetings have been suspended. It was a really good idea from Richie to set this up - very photogenic scenerios.

Re: Just a selection
Hi Trevor, I really love all your images - you're right about the rain bringing freshness in colour and an extra element to the shot (i.e., water drops). The large tree taken at Marks Hall is just full of natural character in it's twisted branches and rough textures. The old shed is also very dramat...
